Leak Defender “WS” Model Control Box Installation
Caution High Voltage: System installation must be by a qualified technician. Must meet or exceed local and national electrical codes.
Disconnect circuit breaker to pump at the load center. Tag or lock out the breaker to avoid the pump being turned on.
The Leak Defender control box will be wired between the pump on/off switch or circuit breaker panel and the pump controller or pressure switch.
Remove front cover of the Leak Defender control box.
Locate and mount Leak Defender control box on an adjacent wall approximately 4 ft from floor around the area of the pressure switch. (Not designed for outdoor mounting locations)
Install cable clamps for the input and output power connections in the Leak Defender control box using the existing knockouts.
Cut existing power wires for input and output connections (L1/L2) to be connected to the relay inside the control box.
Connect power wires from the circuit breaker panel to the relay input connection (L1/L2 Input)
Connect power wires to the pressure switch to the relay output connection (L1/L2 Output)
Connect input and output ground wires to green grounding screw.
After checking all connections and replacing cover on the leak detection control box turn on power.
Mount Leak Defender Relay Module close to the Leak Defender Control Box.
Connect cable connector from Module box to the connector on the bottom of the Control box.
